The sh*t you find on the internet isn’t always what it seems…

Filters, AI, photoshop, and over-exaggerated or even fully fabricated fitness ā€œresultsā€ā€”scroll for less than 30 seconds and I’m SURE you’ll find any number of these things on your screen.

But as we both know, real, lasting results require both time and effort.

As for me, I’m just the funsized coach who makes it all simple, feasible, and FUN for my clients ĀÆ\_(惄)_/ĀÆ

But hey, don’t just take my word for it…This is the story about a girl named Liz… *cue intro beats to Lucky by Britney Spears* šŸ’«

Liz is a 5’0ā€ dog trainer in Oregon. After finding me through the Funsized Life Podcast and hearing me talk about how to count macros as a petite, she raced to submit an application for VIP Petite Nutrition & Fitness Coaching šŸƒā€ā™€ļø

See, when Liz came to me, she was freaking president of Frustration Nation (and I don’t blame her!).

She had been working her ass off to achieve her health and fitness goals and was beyond confused why her efforts hadn’t amounted to anything. She, admittedly, couldn’t continue to do it on her own anymore. She needed some professional help.

The goal:Lose weight + gain muscle

Liz had been doing allllll the ā€œrightā€ things. 

She explained to me that she’d been working out consistently, strength training 5-6 days per week, eating healthier than ever, hitting her macro goals, increased protein in her diet…And she’d been doing it all consistently.

So WHAT the actual f*ck could she possibly be doing wrong??!

Despite beginning to feel hopeless, our girl Liz is determined (we love that about Liz 🄰)! She didn’t want to give up before she saw some results—she was going to see a change in her body.

So, we got to twerk šŸ‘

All her previous efforts were NOT for nothing. Liz had a super solid foundation when started working together, BUT what she lacking was the implementation of progressive overload and macronutrient targets that aligned with her *specific* needs.

Probably you right now: ā€œhuh???????ā€ Let’s break it down…

PART 1
The Problem
→ Before working with me, Liz had been following the same workout routine for 2-3 months, and the hard truth was—her body was no longer being challenged.

The Solution → Progressive overload (gradually boosting the intensity of your workouts over time)

The Plan → We started off our 4 months together with a fresh set of workouts. At the beginning, Liz completed 4 home-gym days using the equipment she had available, and she was down to try one day at Planet Fitness to use some heavier weights and machines. 

Within just 2-3 weeks she was already feeling confident enough to increase to 2 days at the gym with the new workouts. And by the end of our third month together, all of her workouts were at the gym because she LOVED seeing/feeling her strength increase and using the heavier weights/machines šŸ˜

PART 2
The Problem → Liz had been diligently working to reach her daily macro goals (snaps for Liz). BUT she had gotten these ā€˜macro goals’ from a random macro calculator online. 

In reality, what she had been following actually didn’t fit her needs as a petite powerhouse and, therefore, didn’t evoke any change in her body.

The Solution → Identify and start following macronutrient targets that aligned with her *specific* needs.

The Plan → After finding the right number of macros Liz would need daily to reach her goals, we started to incorporate that into her meals. To get on the right track, I adjusted Liz’s macros everrrr so slightly over several weeks so her body would keep progressing. 


THE RESULTS
And of course, the moment we’ve all been waiting for—Liz’s results! šŸ‘€

In just 16 weeks, Liz has already lost 10 lbs, gained confidence in the gym (so it no longer feels like a chore but rather, a source of empowerment!), and has a much better relationship with food and fitness overall. See for yourself!

The best part for me as her coach? Witnessing this change on much, much more than just a physical level

Mentally and emotionally, I saw Liz transform before my eyes over our 4 months together, even with things as simple as posing for photos with friends.
