👩🏻‍🍳Cooking: a Chore or a Cure?

You hate cooking because you don’t know how? You’re not sure if you’re doing it right? and you don’t have time?

Let’s back up a little bit….⠀

Nutrition was NOT always an interest of mine. 😳⠀

I was just like you. I enjoyed food that was convenient, quick, and fun. I ate if I was hungry and just didn’t put much thought into what it was that I was eating. For the most part, I didn’t think I was an unhealthy eater. Sure, I’d have some pizza and ice cream here and there but it definitely wasn’t all the time. 👅⠀

I think my issue was that I didn’t didn’t know much about cooking. And so I resorted to either making simple comfort foods or going out to eat.🍔🌯🍱 ⠀

When I started cooking for myself on a regular basis and at first I wasn’t good at it AT ALL. My chicken was always so dry and it took me a few times to find the right seasoning combinations! But the more I tried and experimented the more fun I was having and the easier it became. Just like anything else in life… it gets better with more practice!🤙🏼⠀

And I have even found that cooking for myself is therapeutic. It’s just me and the food and no distractions! I can listen to music or a podcast, not be consumed by my phone or anyone else! (It’s almost as much of an escape from reality as the gym can be!)👩🏻‍🍳⠀

I have tons of tips, tricks, and hacks when it comes to cooking now. Always check my blog for my recipes, tips and tricks!! And if you love that, you’ll love being a part of my private #funsized Facebook Group where my 1:1 clients and I share meal prep ideas on the reg!💫⠀
